Former manager Graham Taylor has agreed to be the star turn of the night at Alec Chamberlain's gala testimonial dinner in February.
Taylor, who signed Alec from Sunderland back in the summer of 1996, has agreed to provide an after dinner speech at the Watford Hilton on February 25, when hundreds of Watford supporters will gather to honour one of the club's great players.
Also providing entertainment on the night is BBC Sports presenter Garry Richardson, who is regarded as one of the leading after dinner speakers on the circuit, and John Desborough, who will be the compere for the night.
"I'm absolutely delighted that Graham will be joining me on such a great occasion," said Alec. "He's very entertaining, but more than that, he's a Watford legend and associated with everything that's good about the club.
"He was the manager during my finest hours as a player, those memorable seasons when we went all the way to the Premiership - and I have nothing but the highest respect for the man, as a person and as a football coach."
As well as a top class line up of after dinner entertainment, Alec's testimonial dinner includes a top band, a disco, and an auction with some fantastic donations going under the hammer.
“So many people have been so very kind throughout my testimonial season so far, we've had some great events, and I think the gala dinner will be the highlight of it all - we've a fantastic line up of entertainment, and I'm really excited about it all."
